Dear Daughter: Sometimes You Have to Keep Going Even When You Don’t See the Fruit
Have you ever asked God, “Lord, why am I going through this?” Have you ever wondered, “Will I ever heal from this pain?” We all have moments where we go through pain. However, rarely do we get to experience the purpose behind the trial and the blessing behind the mess. My new e-book, How to Find the Purpose in Your Pain, will teach you how to find purpose in the deepest areas of trauma and hurt in your life so you can learn how to find the hidden good behind your greatest struggles. #DearDaughter is a blog series by Jordone Massey.
I originally started writing this series as pages in my personal journal to encourage myself. My hope is that writing this series as if God, your Father, is directly speaking to you will inspire you to draw closer to His love in the midst of your hard times.
Dear daughter,
I see your efforts. I see your striving. I see your hustle.
Sometimes, I know that it can feel as if no one sees how hard you work.
But, I see you.
Let Me say that again.
I see you.
I know that you can feel overlooked because of your talents and so underwhelmed by the lack of fruit in your life.
I understand.
Trust Me. Just like You, people deny Me everyday even though I love them and died for them.
I know what it feels like to feel like you just want to give up.
I know how it feels to think that the race you are running will never end.
But, here’s the reality…you can’t give up!
Even when you don’t see the fruit, you have to keep going.
A runner’s race is the hardest at the end of the line. If he gives up when the challenge is the hardest, he’ll never see the reward.
So, here’s to you daughter!
Here’s to your effort, your hard work, and the love you give to those who have betrayed you.
Here’s to you because you keep going even when others don’t understand.
Here’s to you because you stayed resilient even when pain told you to stop.
Keep going.
Don’t stop running.
I promise you. Your toil will eventually pay off.
Love,
Your Daddy

Prayer: Lord, help me to be a fighter. I admit to You that I have wanted to give up even when You’ve told me to keep going. I’ve grown weary of doing well. Help me to keep going even when there’s no reward in sight. Help me to be content with Your hand over my life even when others overlook my efforts. Keep me at peace during my challenges and help me to stand back up even when I feel like I’ve fallen. Love, your daughter…
Love,
