Dear Daughter: My Love is Greater Than My Provision

Have you ever asked God, “Lord, why am I going through this?” Have you ever wondered, “Will I ever heal from this pain?” We all have moments where we go through pain. However, rarely do we get to experience the purpose behind the trial and the blessing behind the mess. My new e-book, How to Find the Purpose in Your Pain, will teach you how to find purpose in the deepest areas of trauma and hurt in your life so you can learn how to find the hidden good behind your greatest struggles. Dear Daughter is a blog series by Jordone Massey.

I originally started writing this series as pages in my personal journal to encourage myself. My hope is that writing this series as if God, your Father, is directly speaking to you will inspire you to draw closer to His love in the midst of your hard times.

Dear daughter,

I see your tears at night from the lack of provision that lies in your heart. You so dearly want to be a better provider for your children, your spouse, and your family.

I do have more for you.

However, first I want you to understand something: My love is greater than my provision.

You see …My heart aches when I see you put too much pressure on yourself. You work so hard to give, toil, and be the best provider that you often forget to rest.

In the midst of your struggles, you let the enemy’s words speak louder than My love for your heart. He tells you that your lack is evidence that My hand is against you and that I don’t care for you. He is a liar. I died for You. I love you. His words are out to deceive you. Do not believe or listen to him.

You look at people outside of your church who prosper without Me and it makes you doubt your devotion to Me.

My daughter, do not be distracted by those who prosper in their own way (Psalm 37:6-8). My blessings are given without sorrow.

This is because I’m not just Your Provider. I’m also Your Daddy.

A good Father will always take the time to make sure His daughter is developed in character, maturity, and wisdom before blessing her with more.

The enemy, on the other hand, does not care for the people of this world, so he perverts their hearts with selfish motives under the guise of provision. What he will not tell you is that there is eventual heartache, pain, and frustration that comes with money where I am not the Source.

Staying close to me requires patience for your provision. However, I’d rather see you blossom with My love than thrive but only fall soon after.

Daughter, I want to help you. Will you let Me?

Love,

Daddy

Prayer: Lord, I repent for letting my lack of money rule my heart. Give me the grace and strength to see that Your love is greater than Your provision. I want to see the goodness that You have for me. However, I also want the character, wisdom, and maturity to keep the blessings that You give to Me. Will You help me? I love You.
