Intimacy describes an immense level of closeness.

Think of a marriage, a loved one, or best friend that you are close to.

You likely became close with this person through the time that you all spent together.

You all probably communicated on a daily basis and shared secrets with each other that only you two knew about.

This is the type of closeness Jesus desires with us.

Just like that person you became close with, our intimacy with Christ isn’t defined by a routine, special service, or certain time of the day.

Our intimacy with Him represents a process of daily growth that strengthens as we make the effort to get to know Him more personally.
