Jesus Christ represents God’s love for you and me.
He is God’s Son who died for us and His death represents God’s heart for us.
Think of Him as the love that allows us to have the closest relationship possible with God, like a spouse or very close friend.
Jesus Christ is crucial to our relationship with God because He exists to help us, guide us, and give us grace in our imperfection.
No matter what you do or how you serve, you can never be perfect.
As a human, even in your best moments, you will fall short, make mistakes, or have blind spots.
This is why we need Jesus as our Savior. He’s there as a guide for our most difficult challenges and He stands in the gap of our imperfections.
He is the grace for our imperfection and the love for our blind spots.
He loves us in our evil and loves us in our good.
There’s nothing that can separate us from His love (Romans 8: 37-39).
Having intimacy with God happens as we accept His way of loving us through His Son and learn to rely on Him through both good and bad times.
“ For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”
